To our partners, customers and suppliers: we ask everyone who corresponds with CPS Group to treat email and written communications with care. Email remains the most common route for fraud and impersonation, and a few moments of caution protect everyone.
We enforce email authentication across the cps-group.com domain to block spoofing, spam and phishing. Our systems are set up so that messages genuinely sent from our domain can be verified, and so that forged messages pretending to come from us are rejected wherever possible. We monitor this continuously.
Despite these measures, we continue to see phishing attempts that impersonate the cps-group.com domain and the names of our people. These attempts try to persuade partners to share information, change payment or bank details, or act on instructions that did not come from us. The messages can look convincing, carrying familiar names, logos and wording.
If a message seems unusual, do not act on it and do not reply to it directly. Contact your usual CPS Group contact first, using a phone number or address you already know and trust, and confirm the request before taking any action. This is especially important for payments, bank details and anything involving credentials or sensitive information. When in doubt, check first.
We are taking extraordinary preventive measures and are continuously hardening our systems against the latest web and email security vulnerabilities. Email authentication, monitoring and verification are ongoing, and we review our defences regularly as new threats appear.
This notice is precautionary. Phishing impersonates organisations from the outside, and these attempts do not mean that CPS Group systems or data have been accessed. We are sharing this so that everyone who works with us stays alert and protected. Stay sharp, and thank you for your attention and care.
